Antonio Martinez decided to celebrate his 53rd birthday the Lubbock way—by getting blackout drunk, stripping naked, and turning what was supposed to be a party into a full-blown nightmare. According to court records, Martinez tried to sexually assault a woman, threatened to kill her, and left bruises on her face and neck. Because that wasn’t enough chaos for one night, he also allegedly grabbed her puppy and started throwing it around the apartment before attempting to smother it.
When the victim’s daughter tried to intervene, Martinez reportedly punched her too—because apparently, everyone in the room was fair game. Police later found him passed out at a nearby convenience store, lying on the ground like a human cautionary tale about alcohol and anger management.
He was arrested and charged with domestic violence, indecent assault, and animal cruelty, and is currently sitting in the Lubbock County Detention Center on $40,000 bond.
There’s drunk, and then there’s “naked felony charges and puppy abuse” drunk. Maybe next year, just stick to cake and call it a night.
