Paul Aguilar, 53, has officially graduated from “unemployed and unmotivated” to “Lubbock County Detention Center’s newest guest of honor.” According to police, back in July 2022, they responded to his apartment after hearing the kind of screaming you usually only hear when Texas Tech loses to Baylor. Inside, they found a domestic dispute that reportedly started over—you guessed it—household chores.

Apparently, Aguilar wasn’t too busy since, according to the victim, he was “sitting at home doing nothing” while unemployed. The argument also touched on his drug use, because of course it did. Things escalated when Aguilar allegedly dragged the pregnant woman by her hair and tossed her into the bushes like last week’s yard clippings.

Fast forward to this week, and Aguilar finally got his warrant served. He’s now being held without bond at the detention center—where, presumably, the only “chores” left to argue about involve cleaning his own cell.

So let me get this straight: sitting at home, unemployed, allegedly using drugs, and still thinks he’s in a position to complain about chores? Classic Lubbock résumé.
