The Hereford Police Department has begun an investigation into Dr. Michael J. Ellis, DC, a chiropractor in Hereford, following a report from a female patient who alleged inappropriate behavior, according to a post by HPD on social media.
On Wednesday, August 13, the Castro County District Attorney’s Office presented the case to the Deaf Smith County Grand Jury, which returned an indictment against Dr. Ellis for Invasive Visual Recording. An arrest warrant was then issued on Monday, August 18. Later that day, HPD located Dr. Ellis at his place of business in the 100 block of W. Park Avenue.
Dr. Ellis was later booked into the Deaf Smith County Jail.
After completing the investigation, the matter was transferred to Castro County due to a potential conflict of interest within the Deaf Smith County District Attorney’s Office.
