According to affidavits, Liu didn’t just own a seafood restaurant; he allegedly had financial and operational control over multiple massage businesses where prostitution occurred.
Bank records reportedly show hundreds of thousands of dollars moving from Hot & Juicy Seafood LLC to Liu personally, while other records indicate advertising for prostitution services tied to locations like Royal Foot Therapy and B&W Relax House. Because apparently in Lubbock, “diversifying your portfolio” can mean surf, turf, and human trafficking charges.
Court documents list at least seven massage locations across the city connected to Liu and Gao, from Slide Road to Frankford Avenue. Investigators say Gao handled financial control and day-to-day operations, with surveillance placing her at the businesses during operating hours—bringing food, coordinating staff, and allegedly keeping the whole thing running smoothly. You know, standard spa management stuff.
Undercover officers at multiple locations reported being solicited for sexual services in exchange for money, and authorities say the shared finances, addresses, and coordination showed this was a single, unified operation. Arrest warrants were issued January 22; both suspects were booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center on $200,000 bonds and have since been released.
