Plano Police just wrapped up a massive child pornography investigation that stretched nearly a month and ended with 59 arrests and 28 children rescued. Among the creeps caught in the dragnet: a lovely sampling from right here in the Lubbock area.
Local names on the list include Jesse Giesbrecht, Justin Jones, Shemar Green, Cassidy Lush, David Espinoza, and Anthony Garza. The charges range from possession to distribution to full-on transportation of child porn. Yes, apparently even Lubbock’s sex offenders think Dallas is where the “opportunity” is.
Authorities called it a coordinated takedown with more than 30 agencies involved. Police chiefs talked about protecting the vulnerable. Meanwhile, West Texas keeps contributing names to the kind of press releases you’d rather not read.
At this rate, “Operation Janus” might need its own dedicated Lubbock chapter.
