David Burnet Taylor, 58, was arrested on Wednesday morning on charges of Sexual Assault following an incident that happened in April.
According to an affidavit obtained by EverythingLubbock.com on Wednesday, the victim, an acquaintance of Taylor, was picked up from her residence by Taylor and asked if she wanted to attend a birthday party. The victim then got inside Taylor’s vehicle, and they went to the Raider Inn Motel.
Records show that while Taylor and the victim were inside the bathroom of the motel room, Taylor cocked his fist back and told the victim, “If you don’t have sex with me, I will hurt you.”
Taylor then ripped the victim’s pants off and sexually assaulted her. She then fought Taylor, causing him to kick her out of the room and refused to give her a ride back to her residence.
A warrant was issued on Tuesday, September 2nd, and Taylor was arrested on Wednesday morning.
Taylor is currently being held at the Lubbock County Detention Center with a bond set at $100,000.
