Kaleb Saldana, 28, decided to turn a stay at the Alpha Motel into his own low-budget horror flick. According to court docs, he argued with a woman over a mystery message, then escalated straight to locking her and two others in the room, stealing their phones, threatening to kill them, and assaulting her—all while ignoring the little detail that she had a protective order against him.
The scene only calmed down when one of the trapped guests grabbed a bottle of liquor and gave Saldana some “liquid courage” to the face. Police later found him with a booze aroma, passed out, and headed to UMC before jail.
Saldana now faces a laundry list of charges: robbery, assault, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, violating a protective order, and the ever-popular “continuous violence against the family.” His bond sits at a neat $92,500—about the only thing in this story that adds up.
The Alpha Motel’s slogan should probably be changed to: Check in anytime you like, but you might not check out.
