Forty-two-year-old Gustavo Jimenez is sitting in the Lubbock County Detention Center after being arrested on charges of Indecency with a Child. The alleged incident happened back in March but only surfaced in an affidavit this week.
According to police, a juvenile victim told officers that Jimenez crawled into her bed, lay down next to her, and forcibly touched her inappropriately. The affidavit lays it out pretty plainly: this wasn’t an “oops, wrong room” situation—it was predatory behavior.
Jimenez is now being held on a $150,000 bond, which seems like a bargain price for someone accused of something this vile. Meanwhile, the community is left wondering why we keep seeing these cases pop up in the local news like they’re a weekly weather report.
