Ah yes, another day, another “Lubbock man” story that starts with meth and ends with federal agents discovering something far worse. Spencer Lee Norman, 46, got pulled over near 34th and Avenue V — which, around here, might as well be the Bermuda Triangle of bad decisions — and promptly told officers he had meth in the car. Turns out, that was the least of it.

When investigators checked his devices, they found more than 2,000 videos and over 1,500 images of child sexual abuse material — including babies. He even admitted to trading this garbage online, as if he were bragging about a baseball card collection.

Norman’s rap sheet doesn’t stop there — he’s also facing a slew of state charges ranging from bestiality to drugs. So, you know, the full Texas bingo card of depravity. If the court accepts his federal plea, he’s looking at up to 20 years in prison, which honestly feels like a light sentence for someone this vile.

Only in Lubbock do we start with a routine meth stop and end up uncovering the internet’s worst human being. What’s next — finding out he was running for city council?
