Monterey High head football coach Judd Thrash spent his Saturday morning in the Lubbock County Detention Center after allegedly getting drunk, crashing his car, and then forgetting the part where you’re supposed to leave your info after hitting something. Bond: $2,500. Street cred: priceless.
Thrash was arrested near 130th and Quaker and now faces DWI and failure-to-leave-information charges. Not exactly the kind of stats you want to be racking up in the offseason.
Lubbock ISD, of course, responded with the standard “we’re aware but no comment” statement, which is school-district-speak for please stop asking, we’re just as embarrassed as you are.
