Court documents have disclosed details of the events that lead to the arrest of 31-year-old Christopher Roy Prieto.
Police arrested Prieto during a traffic stop for an expired registration, during the search of the vehicle officers found a “Switch Conversion”. A “Switch” is a small device that can be attached to the rear of the slide of a handgun, changing the semi-automatic pistol into a selective fire machine pistol capable of fully automatic fire.
At the scene Prieto admitted to having more “Switches” at his residence.

Prieto is charged with 17 counts of Possession of Prohibited Weapons and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Prieto remained in the Lubbock County Detention Center as of Friday on bonds totaling $85.000.
