Oh, look. Another Friday night in the Hub City, and while you were probably deciding which mediocre chain restaurant to wait two hours for, the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Anti-Gang Center were having a much more “explosive” evening.
Apparently, the local law enforcement decided to drop by the Bandidos Clubhouse on East FM 2641 around 6:00 PM. They weren’t there for the camaraderie or to compare leather vests; they brought a narcotics-related search warrant and a SWAT team. Because nothing says “neighborhood watch” like a tactical unit descending on a building just a stone’s throw away from the County Detention Center. Talk about a short commute for the suspects.
The authorities are being characteristically shy about the details, refusing to say what they found or if they actually managed to cuff anyone. They’ve basically given us the “we did a thing, stay tuned” treatment. For now, it’s just another day in Northeast Lubbock where the sirens provide the soundtrack and the “clubhouse” vibe just got a very expensive, very loud renovation.
Is it really a “clubhouse” if you can’t even have a secret meeting without the government wanting to see your stash, or is this just Lubbock’s version of an aggressive HOA inspection?
