Texas Tech confirmed that Camryn Booker, 18, is “no longer enrolled” after a viral incident at a campus memorial for conservative activist Charlie Kirk. In a video making the rounds online, Booker can be heard yelling, “F** your homie dead, he got shot in the head.”

Booker was arrested that same day for simple assault near the Student Union “Free Speech Area” and hauled off to the Lubbock County Jail. Tech quickly issued a statement condemning behavior that “denigrates victims of violence” and insisting such antics “have no place on our campus.” Translation: don’t embarrass us on Twitter.

Naturally, Texas politicians couldn’t resist weighing in. Governor Greg Abbott thanked Texas Tech for the response, while Board of Regents President Cody Campbell tweeted a pep-rally-worthy defense of “Tech values” with a Strive for Honor Evermore! flourish. Because nothing soothes a PR headache like school spirit hashtags.

Apparently at Texas Tech, “Guns Up” is fine—but “F*** your homie” will get you kicked out faster than you can say Wreck ‘Em.
