Corey Dellinger, 36, has been arrested for stalking and making terroristic threats after a series of greatest-hits incidents that could only happen in Lubbock. It started in March when he accused a family member of sleeping with his wife and then jumped online to post “Watch me murder” threats—because nothing says sanity like announcing felonies on Facebook.
By July, after a stint in a mental health facility, he was reportedly back at it—threatening family, screaming on a dam, and harassing a family at a picnic table by telling the dad his handshake was “threatening” and would get him killed. Then he topped it off by pretending to have a gun in his pocket. Classic Lubbock lakeside entertainment.
Court records also say he stopped another woman, claimed to be with “Anonymous” (because apparently 2012 memes are still alive in his brain), and then waved around a knife while promising to “get her.” Dellinger is now sitting in the Lubbock County Detention Center on $130,000 bond, hopefully far away from dams, Facebook, and picnic tables.
At this point, can we just build a special jail annex labeled “Facebook Threat Division” and save everyone the trouble?
