Lubbock’s Finest Take Just Five Months to Catch East 50th Street Creep

If you’ve ever wondered how long it takes for justice to grind its gears in the Hub City, we finally have an answer: about five whole months. Local authorities finally got around to arresting 58-year-old Gregorio Dominguez on May 29, charging him with Indecency with a Child by Exposure. Because why rush an arrest when there are tumbleweeds to chase and dust storms to watch?

According to the police affidavit, the actual incident took place way back in January 2026. Dominguez allegedly exposed his genitals to a juvenile victim in an attempt to engage in sexual contact. The brave kid did everything right, participating in a forensic interview just days after the incident and making multiple outcries to authorities. Unfortunately, the paperwork apparently had to travel by carrier pigeon across town before anyone decided to log it.

After letting the case marinate for the entire spring semester, a warrant was mysteriously “activated” on May 29. In a shocking twist of administrative efficiency, police managed to arrest Dominguez the exact same day in the 1200 block of East 50th Street—a location so predictable it’s a wonder it took them half a year to look there. He is currently enjoying the amenities at the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.

Nothing screams “top-tier public safety” quite like giving a guy a five-month head start.
